What is Letim?

Letim is a digital wallet application that allows tourists visiting Türkiye to easily Top Up money from their bank accounts to make payments.

How can I be a Letim user?

You can easily create a Letim account with a monthly limit of ₺2.750 with your phone number. If you want to increase your limit to ₺1.000.000 monthly, you have to verify your account by taking a photo of your passport and taking a selfie.

Which services can I use in the Letim application?

You can Top Up money from your Russian bank account to your Letim wallet account. You can make payments and withdraw cash. Also you can transfer money to Turkish bank accounts, another Letim user or your bank accouns in Russia which is linked to your mobile phone number in SBP.

Why does Letim need my credentials?

The credentials you shared while creating your Letim account are used to verify your account and make sure that the transaction was solely made by you. In addition, this information is securely stored on servers located in Türkiye in accordance with the legal regulations applied to electronic money institutions in Türkiye.

Is my personal information safe with Letim?

Letim uses encryption to protect the data stored within the app. This means that the data is scrambled using complex algorithms, making it difficult for anyone who doesn't have the proper decryption key to read or access the data. Additionally, to register, Letim requires facial recognition, an ID, and a passport check to prevent unauthorized access.

Is my money safe in Letim?

Letim is regularly monitored by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye and the Financial Crimes Investigation Board. The account balances of Letim users are protected by a 100% cash reserve at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye.

Can I close my Letim account?

Yes, you can. Please follow these steps accordingly; Profile > Settings > Delete Account to close your account. After you complete these steps, only your Letim account credentials will be deleted. If you want to use Letim in the future you can activate your old account by completing the "Forgot My Password" steps.

Can I close my Letim account completely?

Due to e-money regulations in Türkiye, your Letim account can not be permenantly deleted. But you can close your account and delete your user credentials if you no longer want to use Letim.

I forgot my Letim account's password, what should I do?

You can create a new password after clicking the "Forgot My Password" button on the Letim login screen, entering the verification code sent your mobile phone number.

How can I change my Letim account's password?

You can change your password by following these steps accordingly; Profile > Settings > Change Password.

Why can't I enter alphabetic characters when creating a password?

In accordance with our security standards, the static application login password is set to 6 digits and has to be numeric.

How can I change my personal details in the Letim app?

You can change your personal details in Letim application by following these steps accordingly; Menu > Personal Data > Edit.

How can I change my phone number linked to my Letim account?

You can change your phone number by calling our Letim Contact Center at +90 850 317 02 02 or our Telegram helpdesk account at @Assist_Letim.

Which currency exchange rate does Letim use?

Before topping up your Letim account, the application screen will display information about the exchange rate at which the payment will be calculated and the top-up fee.

Is it possible to fill the wallet with Turkish Liras, Euros and Dollars?

The user's virtual wallet in Letim is only available in Turkish Lira and can be funded through direct conversion from a Russian Ruble account to Lira via Faster Payment System (SBP).

Can I withdraw money in Dollar or Euro currency?

All transactions made within the Letim application are conducted solely in Turkish Lira.

In which currencies can I make transactions?

All transactions you make with Letim are carried out in Turkish Lira.

Can I use Letim for international transactions?

No, payments with Letim can only be used in Türkiye.

How can I top-up money to my Letim account via credit card?

For the time being you can only top-up your Letim account via your Russian bank account.

Can I send money to my Russian bank account if I am not a verified user?

No you can't, In order to send money to your Russian bank account you must be a verified user

Can I use Letim for online shopping?

You can make payments with your Letim card at Turkish online stores that accept Troy cards.

Is it possible me to make transactions 24/7?

Yes, all transactions in Letim App are available 24/7.

What are the limits for money Top Up?

You can Top Up your Letim account up to ₺1.000.000 each month.

Are there any comissions for funds transfer to Turkish Bank accounts?

Yes, for funds transfer, a fee of 3% comission is charged. Please visit "Fees&Limits" page to see the updated fees and limits.

How much money can I withdraw from ATM's in Türkiye?

You can withdraw up to ₺20.000 momentarily, ₺50.000 daily and ₺100.000 monthly from your Letim wallet account via ATM.

Are there any comissions for cash withdrawals through ATM's?

Yes, for ATM cahs withdrawals, a fee of 3.5% comission is charged. Please visit "Fees&Limits" page to see the updated fees and limits.

Which transactions can I make via QR code?

With QR code, you can pay via POS devices and withdraw cash from ATMs in Türkiye.

Can I get payments via QR code?

No, the Letim application does not have a QR code payment collection function.

Is there a minimum amount for QR code transactions?

There is no minimum amount to pay with QR code. In cash withdrawal with QR code, you can withdraw as much as the lowest amount of banknotes available at the ATM.

Is there a maximum amount for QR code payment transactions?

No, you can make transactions with QR code as much as your Letim wallet balance avalable.

Can I pay via QR code in all merchants in Türkiye?

You can pay with Letim at all merchants that accept payment via QR code.

Is it possible for me to deposit money to ATMs via QR code?

You can pay with Letim at all merchants that accept payment via QR code.

Do I need an internet connection for QR code transactions?

Yes, to be able to make transactions with QR code and use Letim application there has to be an internet connection.

Which Turkish bank's terminal should I state when I am making purchases with the QR code?

To pay with QR code, whichever Turkish bank the business chooses does not matter. With Letim it is possible to pay from all Turkish banks. You can tell the cashier to choose any bank.

Where can I use QR code payment?

The QR code payment is one of the most prevalent payment alternatives for products and services in Türkiye. Most of the offline shops as well as services, such as taxis, petrol stations and hotels accept this type of payment.

How can I get a refund for the product that I returned to the store?

Yes, it can be refunded. Customer can go to the place where he/she shopped and say that he/she wants to return the product. Customer must also bring the card slip with which he/she made the payment and must say that he/she purchased the product by paying with a QR.

What is the money transfer limit from my Letim account to my Russian bank account?

You can transfer the whole balance from your Letim account to your Russian bank account. Transfer limits are ₺20.000 momentarily, ₺50.000 daily and ₺250.000 monthly.

How long does it take for money to be topped up from Russian bank account to my Letim wallet?

The transactions you made from your Russian bank account to your Letim wallet account are transferred instantly and you can start using your balance.

How can I Top Up money to my Letim account from my Russian bank account?

After you enter the amount you want to Top Up by selecting the "Top Up" button in the Letim application, then you should confirm the transaction and complete the Top Up in your Russian bank application.

How can I transfer money from my Letim account to my Russian bank account?

You can open the "Transactions" page in the Letim application and send the whole balance in your Letim wallet to your Russian bank account with the "Transfer Balance" function.

How much money can I transfer from my Letim wallet account to my Russian bank account?

You can transfer up to ₺20.000 momentarily, ₺50.000 daily and ₺250.000 monthly from your Letim wallet account to your Russian bank account.

Are there any comissions for Letim wallet account to my Russian bank account transfers?

The money I sent from my Letim account did not transfer to my bank account in Russia. What should I do?

Money transfers to Russian bank account transactions are completed in approximately 5 business days. If you did not recieve your money after 5 days please call our Letim Contact Center at +90 850 317 02 02 or our Telegram helpdesk account at @Assist_Letim.

Can I transfer money to any other Russian bank accounts?

No, you can only transfer the entire balance in your Letim account to your Russian bank account, which is linked to your mobile phone number in SBP.

Can I transfer money to another person's Letim wallet account?

Yes, Letim users can easily transfer money between eachother. However in order to use this feature, both users must have verified Letim accounts. Unverified Letim accounts cannot use this feature.

How much money can I transfer from my Letim wallet account to another person's Letim wallet account?

You can transfer up to ₺20.000 momentarily, ₺50.000 daily and ₺250.000 monthly from your Letim wallet account to another person's Letim wallet account.

Are there any comissions for Letim wallet to Letim wallet transfers?

Yes, for wallet to wallet transfers, a fee of 1% comission is charged. Please visit "Fees&Limits" page to see the updated fees and limits.

To which account my money will be transferred from my Letim account?

Money will be transferred to your Russian bank account which you have chosen and linked to your mobile phone number in SBP.

How long does it take for money to transfer between Letim account and Russian bank account?

The transfer process takes about 5 business days.

Can I Top Up my Letim wallet if I don't have a Russian bank application?

No, you cannot Top Up money to your Letim wallet without your Russian bank application.

How Can I Send Money to Bank Accounts in Türkiye with Letim?

In order to transfer the balance in your Letim wallet to bank accounts in Türkiye, your Letim account must be verified. After verifying your account, you can transfer money by entering the IBAN, Recipient Name and Surname information of the account you want to send.

What are the limits and fees for money transfers to bank accounts in Türkiye?

I made a transfer to a bank account in Türkiye but the money was not transferred to the recipient account, why?

Your transfer transaction may not have taken place because the recipient's information did not match or might be missing, in this case, the amount of the transfer transaction will be automatically restored to your Letim account wallet.

How can I see my account activity?

You can see your account activities by selecting "See All" button on the home page of Letim application.

How can I cancel the money transferring request?

When you submit your money transferring request via the application, your refund will be made within 5 days. After submitting your request through the application, the request cannot be canceled by us. You can transfer the amount sent your Russian bank account to your Letim account.

If I try to withdraw money from the ATM, but the ATM does not give me the money and also the balance was deducted from my Letim account what should I do?

Usually, when such a problem occurs, the ATM owner's bank realizes that there has been a mistake, and the money is automatically returned to your account within a few minutes. If money is not automatically returned to your account, please feel free to reach out to us via email at helpdesk@Letim.app or message us on Telegram at @Assist_Letim. Our specialists will provide you with all the necessary support.

What can I do if my passport won't verify on the OCR step?

If you can't get your passport verified, please follow these steps accordingly; First, please make sure that your passport is not too close or too far from the screen. Second, take a photo of the actual document, any photos of the computer screen, screenshots or paper copies will not be accepted by the system. Third, make sure that there are no dark shadows or glares on the photograph you have taken. All texts should be readable.

Is Letim a payment system in Türkiye or an intermediary between the bank and the customers?

Letim is a digital wallet application for tourists visiting Türkiye. It is a payment system supervised by the central bank.

Will there be a website version in the future?

No, Letim will continue to be an online wallet application.

Can I Top-up my account if I registered to Letim wallet with my Turkish phone number?

Yes, you can make top-up with Turkish phone number added to the application.

Can I use Letim in Northern Cyprus?

Yes, Letim can be used in POS devices and ATM's of Turkish banks that accept QR code and Troy card in Northern Cyprus.

How can I apply for a physical Letim card?

You can apply for a pyshcial Letim card through the Letim application by following these steps accordingly; My Cards > Apply For Letim Card, and complete the application by entering your address information.

How long does it take for Letim card delivery?

After applying for a physical card, delivery takes 4 to 7 business days to Russia, 3 to 5 business days to Türkiye, and 5 business days to Northern Cyprus.

How will Letim send me the card?

You can have the card sent to your adress from the application. Card delivery is only available to Türkiye, Russia, and Northern Cyprus.

Is Letim card delivery free of charge?

No, there is a delivery fee. Card fee for delivery to Türkiye is 250₺, to Russia is 250₺, to Northern Cyprus is 250₺.

Is there a Letim card activation fee?

No, there is no card activation fee.

How many Letim cards can I request?

You can request up to 5 physical Letim cards and add them to your account.

How can I activate my card?

You can add and activate your card from the Letim mobile application to your wallet by selecting the add card option and entering the 16 digits on your card.

What do I need to do to start using the Letim Card?

After requesting the Letim card through the application, you can start using it by adding it to your wallet.

Where can I use the Letim card?

You can use Letim card in all payments with POS, ATM transactions and for online payments in Türkiye. Also you can use Letim card with Turkish Banks in Northern Cyprus for POS payments and ATM transactions.

What is the spending limit for Letim card?

Letim card has no separate spending limit. You can use your Letim wallet limit when you are spending with your Letim card.

Can I print a name on my physical Letim card?

No, Letim card is a noname card.

Is there a contactless feature on Letim card?

Yes, there is. You can use contactless payment up to 750₺.

What is my contactless transaction limit?

You can use the contactless feature up to 750₺.

Why do I need to enter card PIN for contactless payment?

For contactless payments of 750₺ and above, it is mandatory to enter the card PIN for security purposes.

How can I switch off my card for contactless payments?

This feature is currently not avaliable.

Can I withdraw money from ATM?

Yes, you can withdraw money from ATMs.

Can I Top Up money to my Letim card on ATM's?

At the moment, the ATM top-up feature is not available.

Can I use my card in ATM's without identifying it to my account?

No, you have to add your card to your account if you want to use it in ATM's.

What are the expiry date for physical Letim cards?

Expiriy date for physical Letim cards are 3 years.

What should I do if my card expires?

If your card expires, you can request a new card from the Letim application.

Can I temporarily close my card?

Yes, you can. With Letim mobile application by following these steps accordingly; My Wallet>Card Details>Open/Close Card.

How can I close and/or open my card?

You can open and close your card in Letim mobile application by following these steps accordingly; Letim App > My Wallet > Card Details > Open/Close Card.

How can I delete the card?

Can I make 3D secure transactions?

Yes, It is possible to make 3D transactions.

What is the CVV security code?

CVV security code is the 3-digit code on the back side of your card.

How can I unblock my card ccv/password?

You can get support for unblocking the card by calling Letim Contact Center at +90 850 317 02 02 or our Telegram helpdesk account at @Assist_Letim.

How can I switch off my card for internet purchases?

This feature is currently not active. You can only switch off your card for all purchases.

What is my card PIN where can I get it and how can I change it?

Your card PIN is set as the last 4 digits of your 16-digit card number. If you wish, you can change your Letim card PIN through Turkish bank ATMs.

What do I do if I forget the PIN code of my card?

You can reset your physical card PIN in Letim mobile application by following these steps accordingly; My Cards>My Physical Card>Card Details>Reset Card PIN. After completion of these steps you will recieve an SMS icluding your new card PIN.

Can I make a payment even if I do not have a balance?

No, you can only make payment as much as the balance in your Letim wallet.

Can I pay without a physical card?

Yes, you can pay with QR code by opening the Letim application.

Can I gift a Letim Card to my relatives?

Yes, if you have not added the card you have requested to your own Letim wallet, you can gift it to a relative.

Can I transfer money to other Letim Cards?

No, there is no such function. However you can transfer money to another Letim account.

Can I pay invoices with my card?

Yes, you can pay invoices with your card.

Can I chargeback the transaction?

How can I continue to use my Letim Card if I change the telephone number?

You need to update your mobile phone number. You can get support from Letim customer service for this request. Please call Letim Contact Center at +90 850 317 02 02 or our Telegram helpdesk account at @Assist_Letim.

How can I access my account statement?

You can access card transactions by selecting your card from the Letim mobile application.

Where/how I can find the details of my cards transactions?

You can view your card transaction details by selecting your card via Letim mobile application.

Who is the issuer of the Letim card?

Letim cards are issued by Birleşik Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para A.Ş. under the TROY licence.

Who can I contact if my card got lost or stolen?

You can temporarily close your Letim card in the application, and if you are unable to find your card for the time being, you can permanently delete the card through the application.

Is it possible to make transactions abroad?

No, it is not possible. You can only use your Letim Troy card in Türkiye and with Turkish Banks in Northern Cyprus.

When I make an online purchase with my Letim card, what should I write as the cardholders name, since the card is a no name card?

For online payments, if the system requests a cardholder's name and the card is not personalized, you may enter your.

How can I make top up to Istanbulkart with Letim?

You can make top up by using your Letim physical card at the pos devices in Istanbulkart top-up machines. You can also Top Up online from the Istanbulkart application.
